Panoptech's Managing Director, Kevin McDonald, took part in a debate on Day 1 of the 2021 Emergency Service Show, hosted at the Birmingham NEC.
The main content of the discussion was around how industry and the emergency services can work together to improve the conditions for meaningful transformation that improves the lives of citizens and creates places where they feel safe. This discussion centred around the way in which sharing data and technologies, can enable a collaborative supplier and emergency services ecosystem.
Kevin commented “It is important that SMEs engage with the Police to enable new technological developments to be deployed, supporting front line staff and streamlining procedural aspects of todays Policing activities. Working with TechUK and in particularly being part of their Interoperability Working Group, Panoptech have been able to find a voice in helping bridge this gap and give Police customers access to state of the art solutions which are fit for purpose and meets their exacting needs.”
Contributions also came from Clare Elford (CEO – Clue), Brendan Johnston (National Standards Lead – Police Digital Services), James Ellis (MET Police)
